And we're off (..almost..) !!

In 4 days I'll be off on a whirlwind adventure and I'm feeling ambitious enough to try and keep a blog going so that my friends, acquaintances, arch-nemeses, etc. may be able to read in about what I'm getting myself into while I'm away. Hell, I might even use this to reflect after this experience is over (that is if i can actually write more than this singular post, hence why the word of the day is ambitious).

So far I've been met with very comforting comments from folks who've visited Granada... all of which have been something along the lines of "Oh, I'm so jealous" or "Hands down favorite city in Spain besides [enter city where said person stayed while studying]." It's all very terrifying though; going to a city - much less a school that I've only seen in photographs and where people don't happen to speak my naive tongue. And even when I see these pictures, it's always of the Alhambra or the Albaicin. Granted, I'm probably being a baby about this whole experience - no one ever comes back harmed or in a casket from their study abroad trips, right?

So here we go, I hope to actually transform myself in to a vagabond of sorts - I'll keep you updated along the way. Or so I plan to...
